What this site loads

Privacy policy

This policy describes skerritual.net as published on 2026-10-24. The operator is reachable at [email protected]. The site has no accounts or newsletter. Its hosting and analytics providers process the request and event data described below.

Default loading and how to withdraw

Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity and Adsterra load on the first view. The cookie banner is a notice with two buttons, not a gate: Accept confirms the default, and Reject turns analytics, session replay and advertising off. The choice is stored in localStorage key sker-consent for 180 days, and Cookie settings in the footer reopens the banner so the choice can be changed at any time. If the browser exposes Global Privacy Control, the choice is stored as denied before the analytics, replay or ad loaders run. Self-hosted page assets still load.

Serving the pages and protecting them uses the operator's legitimate interests. Accept records an affirmative choice; default loading itself is not evidence of affirmative consent. This policy describes the actual default-on configuration and withdrawal controls rather than claiming that initial loading is consent. You can object or send a privacy request to the contact address above.

Google Analytics 4

This site loads Google Analytics 4 with Measurement ID G-8C6R99WX0B from googletagmanager.com, with measurement requests to google-analytics.com. GA4 sets the _ga cookie (a random client id, up to 2 years) and the _ga_8C6R99WX0B cookie (session state, up to 2 years), and sends page views, approximate location derived from IP, device and browser details, and referral information to Google. IP addresses are not logged by GA4. Event retention follows the Google Analytics property settings; no account-specific retention period has been independently verified for this policy. Google LLC processes it under the Google Privacy Policy and the Google Ads Data Processing Terms. You can refuse with Reject, block the cookies in the browser, or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Microsoft Clarity

This site loads Microsoft Clarity with project ID z2j19f6vn7 from clarity.ms. Clarity records anonymised sessions (mouse movement, clicks, scrolling and page layout) and builds heatmaps so the guides can be improved. Microsoft documents the first-party _clck (user preferences and identifier) and _clsk (session) cookies, and third-party CLID, ANONCHK, MR, MUID and SM cookies. Availability depends on browser storage controls and the Clarity consent configuration; these are possible vendor cookies, not a claim that all were observed on this visit. Clarity applies content masking according to its project settings. Microsoft documents recording access for up to 30 days; other retained aggregates follow the service settings. See the official cookie list. Microsoft Corporation processes the data under the Microsoft Privacy Statement. Reject reloads the page without the Clarity script, preventing further replay requests from this site until the choice changes or expires.

Adsterra advertising

This site shows Adsterra inventory as publisher 3403020 (website 6146081), through two units: NativeBanner_1 in the page body and SocialBar_1, the fixed bar at the bottom of the viewport. Adult ads are switched off in the Adsterra account and this site does not request them. The two requested ad scripts use bicea.org. Adsterra and its delivery partners may use network session and frequency-cap cookies; their names, delivery domains and expiry are chosen by the network and can change and may use the approximate location and device information in the request to choose a creative. Adsterra acts as an independent controller for that advertising data under the Adsterra Privacy Policy. Reject removes the units and the Social Bar, and the close button on the Social Bar remembers that choice in localStorage key sker-adbar-closed.

Personalised-advertising opt-outs: Google Ads Settings, DAA WebChoices, Your Online Choices (EU/UK), and Network Advertising Initiative. These are industry-wide controls; they do not remove ads, only personalisation.

YouTube embeds

Guide pages show a local thumbnail with a Play button. Pressing Play inserts an iframe from youtube-nocookie.com, and YouTube then receives the request, your IP address and the usual browser details. Nothing is requested from YouTube before that click, and after Reject or with Global Privacy Control the button stays inert and shows a short explanation. Google LLC processes the request under the Google Privacy Policy. The site uses no other video host, no comment system, no social plugin, and no traffic-mesh or other banner SDK.

Retention

Your rights

Under the GDPR, UK GDPR and similar laws you can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw consent at any time with Cookie settings or Reject. Requests go to the contact address above; we answer within 30 days. You can also complain to your local supervisory authority. California and other US state residents can opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for personalised advertising with the Reject button and the industry opt-outs listed above; this site does not sell personal information for money.

Changes

Policy changes replace this page and update the date in the byline. Open Cookie settings in the footer to change the stored choice. Do Not Track is not a reliable switch in every browser; Global Privacy Control is honored: if navigator.globalPrivacyControl is true, the choice is written as denied.

Questions people ask

Do you use cookies?

Yes. Google Analytics 4 sets _ga and _ga_8C6R99WX0B, Microsoft Clarity may set _clck, _clsk and Microsoft-domain cookies such as MUID, and Adsterra may set advertising cookies through bicea.org and its delivery partners. The site's own choices live in localStorage under sker-consent and sker-adbar-closed, both kept for 180 days.

Which third parties load on the first view?

Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity session replay and Adsterra Native Banner and Social Bar load by default, without waiting for a click. Adsterra is publisher 3403020, adult ads off. YouTube only receives a request when you press Play on a video.

How do I turn them off?

Press Reject on the banner, or open Cookie settings in the footer at any time. Reject reloads the page with analytics, session replay and ads disabled, removes the Social Bar, and stores a denied choice for 180 days. Global Privacy Control is treated as Reject.
