Sker Ritual beginner guide

A round is a loop: survive, open a door, buy ammo from the Laughing Policeman, gamble with Lucky if you can afford the miss, Super Charge when a fight demands it, and take a Miracle on even rounds. You can play that loop alone. Online parties go to four. There is no split screen.

The visibility advice comes from Snilloc’s community guide. Try lowering fog if it helps you follow doorways. The same guide recommends waiting for another Miracle selection instead of paying to reroll. These are community tips, not a new playtest.

  1. Turn volumetric fog off.
  2. Start on Lavernock. The steps are on that map page.
  3. Keep enough match currency for ammunition, doors and an upgrade. Try the Pavlov for automatic fire or RS10 for closer groups; these are editorial starting suggestions, not a measured damage ranking.
  4. On even rounds, pick a Miracle that feeds one Tier IV pair. See the Miracles page.
  5. PlayStation online needs PS Plus. Solo does not.

The inspect-weapon key is not documented in the sources checked on 24 October 2026. Look in the control menu instead of memorizing a key from a clip.

Questions people ask

What should I change in settings?

Snilloc's Steam guide says to turn volumetric fog off so you can read corners, then drop quality to match the machine.

Which map first?

Lavernock, then Ashes, Sewers, and Fortress. That is the original chapter order, not a difficulty ranking. The Escapist’s separate preference ranking placed Fortress before Sewers.

How does XP work?

Snilloc’s community guide reports score-based weapon XP, with Normal/Hard/Nightmare multipliers of 1/1.5/2. It says 400,000 XP per weapon level, not 400,000 for the whole weapon. Its round estimate is anecdotal and varies with kills and party size.
