This route is a paraphrased checklist from Snilloc’s Steam community walkthrough and the linked map article, checked 24 October 2026. It covers the main progression and weapon task. The attached official trailer is promotional footage, not a step-by-step walkthrough or timestamped demonstration.
Main quest route
- Examine the spawn cannon. Find the marked fuse and cannonball on Providence and use them to open the Caves. Inspect the large cave door to start the sword quests.
- Bronze Sword: activate the Kraken-marked door, shoot red vents to clear poisonous gas and locate the key inside the blocked small tunnels. Opening a tunnel summons crabs; inspect for the key rather than clearing blindly.
- Gold Sword: activate the sword on Providence, then turn the lightning rods by shooting their coils until the chain is blue. Follow the displayed breaker order and finish the kill-zone challenge.
- Silver Sword: inspect the cave cage and find three cranks in X-marked red boxes on Hunter. Insert them one at a time, complete the circles, then escort the freed crab back to the cave cage.
- Insert all three swords in the cave door. Pull the marked levers in time and collect the Gold Cannonball.
- Fire the small golden cannon on the plank between ships. Inspect the resulting beach X and defeat Lord of the Squids. Read the revealed code facing the cave, with the ships behind you; symbol orientation on the door can differ.
- Enter that run’s code to open the Y Cracen fight. Watch for water bubbles, tentacles and extra enemies. No fixed code, boss health or guaranteed combat strategy is claimed.
- Optional Maelstrom: after starting the sword search, break the locks opposite the Super Charger to reveal a dig-site clue. Find and dig up the key, handle the spawned crabs and return to the weapon chest on Providence.
Common blockers and weapon access
The three sword branches are separate tasks. The lightning/breaker and crab-escort steps are necessary, not merely placing three found swords. The beach code is read after the Lord of the Squids encounter, before opening the door to Y Cracen.
Hidden objectives and achievements
Normal completion and the hidden objective are separate tasks. For the original four maps, continue after the main quest to earn the corresponding seal. See the God Killer route checklist and the achievement checklist. House and Tides also have their own hidden quests; they do not add prerequisites to the original four-seal unlock.

Questions people ask
Is Tides of Terror DLC?
No. It was a free content update on 15 October 2024, listed with patch 1.2.0. It added the Maelstrom wonder weapon.
Who is the boss?
The main route includes Lord of the Squids before the final code and Y Cracen beyond the cave door. The guide’s claim that it is the hardest boss is subjective, not a measured or official ranking.
Is the symbol code fixed?
No. The Steam guide says the X-mark code changes. Do not copy a code from a screenshot.
